Constructed of 6061-T6 aluminum. The MRF's main components are a top rail, lower rail, and barrel nut clamp. The portion between the rails is longitudinally fluted/grooved - the additional surface area serves to dissipate heat more quickly. The top rail lines up perfectly with the flattop receiver rail. The MRF-C weighs 11.6oz.

The upper and lower mil-std 1913 rails are clearly T-numbered in sharp, white characters.
